Materials: Tents
Materials: football, goal markers This is a cross between football and ultimate frisbee. Players can’t run with the ball - they must either pass it or throw it at the goal. There are no downs - the game is on constantly, unless the ref calls a timeout or jump ball.
Finally, any player with the ball must keep three points touching the ground - two hands and a foot, or two feet and a hand (the head counts too). This makes throwing the ball extremely awkward.
There is no tackling or tagging - only blocking or stealing the ball.
Goals are worth 6 points, with an extra point kicked afterwards (again, with 3 points touching the ground throughout the kick).
Materials: small logs, rope At the word “go”, each scout must tie a timber hitch to his log and drag it around a nearby tree and back. If the hitch comes untied, it must be retied (no kicking or carrying the log!)
Materials: rope, two stumps One scout stands on each stump. They each hold one end of a long, loose rope.
At “go”, they try to unbalance each other by yanking the rope or letting out slack. First one to touch the ground loses, winner plays the next in line.
